  1. Belluschi & now Lo celso in Midfield wow very good selection whether they will click for us is another matter(I dont think even if they start they can make an impact) Only Acuna is a player who has made an impact instantly for us(hes been gud), They need at least 3 to 5 Matches to gel into the system & new player surroundings, As usual if any of the new players wont perform well people will start bashing them ridiculously. Its unfair, Biglia, Bangea, Di Maria, Aguero, Higuain etc has played tons and tons of matches for us. They have got so many chances. The new players like Icardi, Gomez, Dybala, Salvio, Acuna, Pizzaro, Rigoni, Paredes, Belluschi, Lo Celso etc etc need some games to show what they can do for us. Damn we don’t have that many friendlies available, as we wasted so many friendlies during the Tata era.

    • I do not like the lineup is being rumored: Sergio Romero; Javier Mascherano, Germán Pezzella, Nicolás Otamendi; Eduardo Salvio, Enzo Pérez, Matías Kranevitter, Lo Celso; Lionel Messi, Agüero y Ángel Di María.

LoCelso does not impress me at all; you’d think Sampaoli would use Perotti, a proven commodity than a kid that has had any playing time at his club…from what I have seen Perotti is an Ineasta type play that can hold the ball dictate the game and move forward…Lo Celso??????? not sure

    • Slowly, Sampaoli is pulling the right strings. I believe club form and playing time don’t really matter when it comes to playing for NT as long as you are 100% fit. Examples, don’t look further than Miroslav Klose and Podolski, both played for mediocre clubs, and even there they were not always spectacular, but they are legends of the German national teams. So, I think it is brilliant that both Lo Celso and Ansaldi are selected. I am a big fan of Ansaldi, and finally a natural left back is selected. Common sense if not anything else.
If Acuna is selected in the future it must for his natural position, which is both fair to the player and non-suicidal for the NT. Players playing out of position are always going to be fail, and if Sampaoli hasn’t learnt his lessons from previous Argentine coaches doing that mistake time and again then he is going to get us in deep-shit.
Another couple of guys I’m dying to see play for the NT is Lautaro Martinez and Battaglia of Sporting. He looks completely at ease in the Champions league.
And btw, Guido Pizzaro played a great game against Barca.

  2. Sampa considering Ansaldi to replace Acuna. The last time Ansaldi played for Argentina was the friendly match vs Portugal if I am not mistaken and he was good in that game. Last season he had a very bad season at Inter but overall he deserves to be in the squad and I don’t know why he was overlooked by the previous coaches. Am I the only who thinks Ansaldi is good enough to represent Argentina?

    • No u are not …he is my favorite argentina player but never get called up when he is fit..he is so talented. But now age is catching up. Have u heard that Sampaoli may call him up…

    • I’ve always been a fan of Ansaldi, he’s so good with ball and so attack minded that I think he’d make a better midfielder than a defender, even though he strong defensively. It is for that reason that I think he’d be a perfect replacement for Acuna on the left side of the midfield.
He’s been unlucky at club level since he played in Russia for a long time thus he was overlooked by various coaches. He was doing quite well in atletico until that silly incident with police and simeone wanted non of it.
In italy he had an abysmal season with inter but he’s killing it with torino and would be glad to see him called up.

      • Well said Mamoun. If Ansaldi gets playing time in the upcoming friendlies I am sure he will earn a regular place in the squad. He can play on both flanks, he is a very good dribbler, his crosses are very good, and he is very strong in defending. I don’t see a single reason to exclude him from the squad going to Russia.

  3. Diego Perotti scored for Roma against Fiorentina.
In the same match, Simeone scored a fabulous header. His 4th of the season.
Higuain scored again, but it is the form of Dybala that is worrying. He is playing very deep, and his shooting from distance is awful Hasn’t scored from open play in 8 matches.
Aguero looked very rusty but scored a penalty again.
Emiliano Sala scored for Nantes in their 2-1 win.
In a rare start for Carillo, he managed 2 goals for Monaco.
Facundo Fereyra scored his 10th of the season for Shaktar.
Nico Stefanelli scored for AIK in Sweden.
    Salvio scored in Benfica’s win.

But, Sadly the Argentines in Zenit have hit a hard time. They have lost grip of the top spot and now are in second.

  4. Argentina’s u15 team beat the colombian u15 team 3-2 just now in the opener of the first youth tournament after Tapia assumed duty. An important tournament for Veron as well as he is argentina’s all level youth director.

Apparently we played really well and dominated throughout but was given a tough task of defending after our captain got dismissed merely 15 mins in the beginning of the second half. Hopefully we do well or even better win it.

  5. Talented kid, I really like him but i have to say that lanzini should be way, WAY ahead of him in the pecking order, since both are very similar players.
Sad to hear that Icardi is injured but with Dybala, Kun, Beneditto, Perotti, Papu and Pavon, the albicelestes are pretty much covered in the attacking department.

  6. Happy to see him. Sampaoli calling all the future gem one by one. But the injuries and Argentina relationship is too strong. They can’t live without each other. I am actually more worried about injuries rather than who Sampa select or play. Limited friendly matches to try out all the combination but injuries making it more impossible than the qualification.

  7. Christian Ansaldi at left back (at least as a back-up) should be a real possibility. Was watching him for Torino against Inter. He looks to be in great shape & a perfect attacking full back we have been lacking.

  8. Lo Celso is struggling at PSG and haven’t got enough playing time, but Emry knows this guy is very talented and keeps an eye on him. I think if the coach has given him enough time there would have been fierce competition between Lo Celso and Rabiot. On the other hand, Rojo will be on Man Utd bench for the first time in six months. This is very good news for Sampa.
