Lautaro MARTINEZ of Inter: “Hopefully I can be called-up to Argentina team”

Lautaro MARTINEZ has been lighting it up for Inter during pre-season and now hopes to make the Argentina National Team squad.

Lionel SCALONI and Pablo AIMAR will be in charge of coaching the Argentina team next month when they play Guatemala and Colombia in friendly matches. Speaking to the press following his goal against Atletico Madrid, MARTINEZ stated his desire of wanting to be called-up for those matches.

“Hopefully I can be called-up. I’m going to keep working to complete my objective.”

The Inter forward also spoke about his friendship with club captain Mauro ICARDI.

“We get along very well and he’s helped me a lot on a day to day basis. We are taking advantage of it and we are very happy with what we are doing.”

There’s no doubt that a partnership of ICARDI and MARTINEZ with Inter can only benefit the Argentina team.

  1. Have high hopes on Lautaro-Icardi Combo. What better can we ask for they both playing in the same club, So that will logically help us too. Before i used to think that Dybala- Icardi-Angel Correa combo(Angel and Dybala both can cut inside and use their favoured feets with Icardi as the Pivot) will be greater for us 3 Supremely talented players. But Now i think Lautaro-Icardi-Dybala could be even better(Dybala Playing behind Lautaro and Icardi may can guarantee more goals.

  2. Icardi and Lautaro should always start for both Inter and Argentina in every match to build a deadly striking partnership for the wc 2022.

We should start this now and Dybala should play just behind the 2 of them.

  5. Absolutely! Plenty of talent available for the beloved Albiceleste. A mix of veteran and young talent is the way to go, let’s just hope it’s used properly.
