AFA president Claudio TAPIA spoke about Lionel MESSI and hinted that the FC Barcelona man will be back with the Argentina national team.

Speaking on the official AFA website, president Claudio TAPIA mentioned MESSI and stated that he would like to see him back. Here’s what he had to say:

“Lionel MESSI never left the Argentina national team. I believe that the love which he has for the shirt is so great that when he will be called, he’ll be there. I have no doubt about it. I know that it depends on the coach, it doesn’t depend on him.

“It makes me happy for what he represents because he represents our country. He is the best player in the world, without a doubt.”

TAPIA saw MESSI last month and here’s what he had to say about their talk:

“I saw him very happy, very content. Hopefully he will be there in the next call-up for us to be able to enjoy him.”

    • Possible line-up for Copa America. Beginning as a 4-4-2 and shifting to 3-4-3 midfield diamond in possession.

    • Why Depaul? I have to admit I have not seen him play other than for the NT and he has never impressed not even a tiny bit. Can someone who knows him tell me why this guy gets any attention ?

      • This guy physically strong, very good ball control, good dribbling skills, can take long range short ,revelation of seria A this season & also play anywhere in the midfield…

      • What chintu paul just said and I’d also add that his passing (one touch, crosses and through balls) is excellent. I don’t think he’s a world beater but he is a fine player who could prove very useful especially in a counter attacking system, which Scaloni sadly hasn’t figured out yet.
