Argentina coach Lionel SCALONI is expected to announce his team for this month’s matches but there’s already a rumored list which is floating around.

If the rumored list is to be believed, captain Lionel MESSI returns while Manuel LANZINI gets the call for the first time since the FIFA World Cup and Pity MARTINEZ of the MLS is included.

    Gk: Rulli is not trustable , Juan musso and Walter benitez may be better .GAZZANIGA is decent .

    DF: we have lisandro Martinez and Soto ,no need to select acuna . tagliafico and saravia may not be better than Montiel ,Leo GODOY . No need to select Mercado.
    Foyth ,pezzella, otamendi ,Barbosa are enough

    MF: only lo celso ,paredes, zaracho are decent. we need to select Reynoso ,robertone, palacios as back up

    Wingers :dimaria ,pity Martinez are decent. don’t forget Joaquin Correa and Lucas Ocampos

    Strikers: icardi is not suitable for NT ,aguero is very fit together with messi .we need a tall and skilfull striker to back up messi. I think alario is more useful than dybala and SIMEONE

    • Yes ,he is very fast and skilfull. just need to improve shooting skill . don’t know why scaloni don’t select j Correa. Imo he is more useful than dybala in NT .Correa can be a striker ,winger and false 9 but dybala only can be a false 9 .

  6. I guess it is still a try out period … calling 30+ players make Argentina’s coach look like a joke… and simeone instead of icardi and aguero is a joke … with or without political issues in inter

    • Everyone knows Aguero is going to be selected for Copa America, Scaloni is just experimenting and giving these younger players experience. They’re gonna need it for 2020 & 2022.

    this team is missing a banega type midfielder that can hold on to the ball and offer some playmaking and defense too. For now I think paredes can fill banegas role but i rather have him at number 5 (even tho im sire ascacibar and marcone can do that perfectly).I like the idea of a young defense with experienced players attacking.

  11. West Ham will be furious. They lost Lanzini for 8 months and now he has just recovered, they won’t be happy to let him go. He should gain strength and match fitness first.

      You’re right about West ham…NT games can be brutal.

    • @Richard I agree. Both West Ham and NT should be careful with Manu and avoid rushing him soon after an ACL recovery. I guess the call-up(based on the rumuored list) is just to assess his present condition (and make sure he’s key in Scaloni’s project) and not rush him into playing the full 90mins (of either or both the games).

    Of course alien Messi in a tier alone but I’m surprised Di Maria is so far out with expected assists. Even beating Neymar. He’s an amazing playmaker and I could care less about “hot and cold”. His numbers are beyond impressive.

    Dybala looks pretty good and also look for De paul, lanzini, and aguero

  16. Watched this spurs arsenal, really Pochettino should play more offensive. Foyth is not worse than the 4 and don’t know why he insisted so much on Sissoko. Erikssen should play this 8 role and let Lamela play behind Son and Kane.

  17. I doubt this will be the official list. Speaking of this list why do we need this much defenders when there are only 2 friendlies especially when pezella and mercado are injured. Also not sure about labzini inclusion since he only played 45 min this season.
    Anyway loved the inclusion of marcone and benedetto

  19. Ansaldi should be in the squad with Tagliafico you can not play in wings world class play.Ansaldi is an acute passer.Our attack would miss a player like this calibre.Other only know just to run on the flanks do not have any good first or final touch on the ball.Another wasted talent.Sad

  20. When I saw this rumoured list, my 1st reaction is there are many CBs. So I guess if true then Scaloni may want to try 343: Foyth(Mercado) , Pezzella(Barboza) , Otamendi(Lisandro) – Saravia(Montiel), Lo Celso(Zaracho), Paredes(Ascacibar), Tagliafico(Acuna) – Messi(Dybala), Benedetto(Lautaro), Di Maria(Pity)

    Or eventually a 442 with Zaracho and Di Maria on each side, Lo Celso plus Paredes in the middle, which is what I prefer the most. Messi should play as half 9, closed to the goal.

    What pleased me? Lisandro, Barboza and Zaracho selection, Marcone and Benedetto deserved, happy to see Lanzini back.

    What was disappointing? I am not big fan of Icardi but don’t see any upside of including Simeone. This kid is hard working but no skill, not strong and tall, not fast but not efficient. I understand the place is limited on the left but would love to see Vargas.

    • I still think Lisandro Martinez would be a great No.5 with his passing and defensive abilities.

      • Agreed, Licha would be a great 5/regista hybrid. Infact I can see him being a backup LB for Tagliafico, a backup for one of the centre backs, a backup for Paredes or a starter in the midfield, the kid’s amazing but like I said before I’m gonna wait until the season is finished before I make my conclusion on him, still I’d be glad if this call up is legit.

  21. We still lack quality group of b2b midfielders……I hope marcone would be able to fill battaglia spot…..we need some hardworking midfielders I hv very high hopes from palacios that guy is a hard working and talented midfielder…
    And yeah very excited for matias zaracho.

Since german pezella is injured and will return this week why not take cristian romero of genoa fc but if pezella is fit to play then taken cristian romero instead of funes mori , walter benitez instead of either rulli or gazzaniga, kun aguero instead of dario bendetto and guido rodriguez instead of ivan marcone and jonathan silva instead of marcos acuna

    • Yeah I think it’s time to launch benitez for argentina……Nd If u r choosing foyth who is not even playing regularly for spurs then why not Romero who is one of the revelation of serie a
