Emiliano Martínez and Lautaro Martínez have both been nominated for the 2024 Men’s Ballon d’Or award.

The two Argentine players are nominated for the Ballon d’Or, both of them having solid performances last season. Emiliano Martínez won the Copa America with the Argentina national team and was named as the goalkeeper of the tournament while with Aston Villa he helped them qualify for the Champions League.

Lautaro Martínez also won the Copa America with the Argentina national team while being named as the tournament’s top scorer. With Inter, he won Serie A and was named as the Serie A Most Valuable Player while finishing as top scorer. Here are the nominees for the Ballon d’Or:

  1. How is Mac Allister not in the list, if Rice, Xaka, Saka, Olmo and co are there? Even Cuti should have been there. These guys consistently excelled in the back to back trophies with the NT and were as good as any one in the list for thier respective clubs.
