Lionel Scaloni’s agent is set to meet AFA president Chiqui Tapia in hopes of Scaloni remaining as the coach of the Argentina national team.

Scaloni has already done it all as coach of Argentina. He won the Copa America, he won the Finalissima and now he has won the World Cup. And according to Gastón Edul, negotiations are expected to start in the coming hours or days for him to remain as coach.

There was a verbal agreement that was in place in September but Scaloni’s agent will meet with AFA president Chiqui Tapia to close up the negotiations. With the World Cup prize money of several millions of dollars, it could also be that Scaloni, along with his coaching staff, would get better wages.

The arcade style game, which was created by Bruno Bombardi, Franco Fola and Pablo Bianchi, consists of a fan having to climb a traffic light as high as he can to celebrate Argentina’s World Cup win. It also includes a bit track of the now famous “muchachos” chant playing in the background!

Alexis Mac Allister has drawn interest from Chelsea, Arsenal and Atletico Madrid.

Mac Allister had a stellar World Cup where he went on to assist in the final and win the trophy with the Argentina national team. His performances have meant interest from top teams in Europe.

Chelsea, Arsenal and Atletico Madrid are the three teams presently interested in the Argentine. According to Gastón Edul, the interest is in that order but it would be difficult for the 21 year old to leave Brighton in January.

He could only leave the club if Brighton themselves want to sell and they intend to keep him. But he could leave in June.

Argentina U20 coach Javier Mascherano has announced the preliminary team for the Sudamericano which will be played in January and February.

While the senior national team, the entire country and fans worldwide celebrate the Argentina national team winning their third World Cup, Javier Mascherano and his coaching staff are at work.

The Argentina U20 team will take part in the U20 Sudamericano tournament which will take place between January 19 and February 12 in Colombia. The team has been drawn in Group A along with hosts Colombia, Brazil, Paraguay and Peru.

The top four teams in the tournament will qualify for the 2023 U20 World Cup in Indonesia while the top three will qualify for next year’s Pan American games, along with that tournament’s host Chile.

Javier Mascherano has announced his preliminary list of players for the tournament and training has already started for the tournament. Goalkeeper Federico Gomes Gerth was the sparring player with the Argentina national team at the World Cup. Some of these players have also been part of previous youth tournaments.

There is one call up to a Premier League signed player, Facundo Buonanotte, although he is still playing in Argentina. Benjamin Cremaschi of Inter Miami is also on the team. Here are the players that have been called up:

Mascherano’s team plays Paraguay on January 21 in their first match. After that they will play against Brazil on January which is followed by another match on January 25 vs. Pery. The last group match is on January 27 vs. Colombia.
