Angel CORREA and Lionel MESSI found the back of the net in La Liga on Saturday.
The Atletico Madrid man has been in great form this season, scoring 4 goals in 10 La Liga matches. CORREA gave Diego SIMEONE’s team the lead in the 61st minute with a great goal first touch (off an even better Antoine GRIEZMAN pass) and a run before scoring. Unfortunately for CORREA and his team mates, the match ended in a 1-1 draw as Villarreal eventually drew level.
As mentioned, he’s currently on 4 goals in 10 La Liga matches but the interesting part is that he scored 4 league goals in all of last season when he played 31 matches.
Angel’s not the only one in fine form as the ever present Lionel MESSI scored once more as he leads the Pichichi (La Liga top scorer) race. Going into the match, MESSI was on 11 league goals but made sure to make it 12 following a brilliant goal where he started it and finished the entire play.

If you missed it, Gonzalo HIGUAIN reached goals number 100 and 101 in Serie A.
Which Correa? Certainly not Angel Correa,any addition to NT must be J.Correa.
ARGENTINA got 25 million at the conclusion of 2014 WC for making it to the final, what happened to that money that they had to beg to sustain the youth team and not pay the security detail for the senior team!!!!!

A Correa, Dybala, Icardi, Alario, Lanzini, J.Correa, Lamela(Important Player if fit), Lo Celso, R.Pereyra, Paredes, Rigoni, Cervi, Ascacibar, Tagliafico, Pity Martinez, Bustos, Foyth, Barboza, Mammana, Mori, Rojo, Ruli, Batalla etc etc…Be used to this guys, After the WC these are the guys who gonna carry the NT Torch. Well on Paper all are nice players.Will be interesting to see how we are gonna move forward .Because its been long time we are in the Era of Messi & Co.
The best among the above i think is, A Correa, Dybala, Icardi trio, The key Players and can become the next Super stars for us(They already are at Club level)
And can Augusto Fernandez come back for us he is a perfect midfielder for us just like Enzo perez. Can he make it into Sampaoli’s system, He was on fire during the Copa 2016. It was a great team play during that tournament till Augusto got injured. He is better than Biglia. Not creative but is more effective Box to Box. Mashe-Augusto-Banega was playing well in Copa 2016. How about Enzo-Augusto will it work. Or will it be too defensive.
Can angel Correa play as a right winger & more wide. That can help fix one spot which is currently not strong. I think now he is more as a right forward & we already have messi & then dybala.
Roberto perrrya again seems to have picked an injury. At this rate he will be like gago or lamela & perennially injured. Not the types you can bet on for a gruelling world cup schedule.
I used to have such a huge hopes from Erik Lamela, Really thought that he would be a fabulous player like Messi, If I remember here in Mundo we had an article whether PASTORE or LAMELA we need. Now look at both…Sighhh Sometimes its better to have minimal expectations from Youngsters.
I got disappointed too but in reality he did not have the quality that we were giving him. He was a player made by the media to make money.

I said it right before Barcelona signed him and right after they actually signed him and how all he ever wanted was to replace the master himself and thought that would happen but not so fast Barcelona said to to their own credit.
La pulga killed him with class, respect and kindness and now we see what he is really like….as clear as the sun.
I really appreciate what Brazil did against Chile by taking them out of the WC but how great would it be for ARGENTINA to beat Brazil in the WC at any stage and putting this ungrateful asswipe in his place permanently.
If Angelito Correa plays for Simeone on a regular basis I view it as a sign of progress because Simeone is the kind of manager that demands a lot from players. If they don’t play well, they get benched or even discarded altogether, Argentine or not. Prime examples – Kranevitter and to some extent Vietto.
In fact, I have yet to see an Argentine player shining since Simeone’s is at Atletico.
Augusto Fernandez did until his injury, but sadly that seems to be exception rather than the rule since Ansaldi was cast out even though he seemed to be doing well, vietto lost his shine, Gaitan is a bench warmer and kranevitter didn’t even get a chance to play.
It will be great if Augusto gets back to full form. He can replace Enzo , biglia & be the missing piece in our midfield. Some like lanzini can then step up to be the creator. Augusto has enough time to get back to top shape before wc.
This could change post December when Costa is available.
Correa deserves a place in the team.
Agreed, his pace, skill, and dribbling ability….no brainier
But where will he play? He seems more at Messi’s position & we already have dybala in waiting list. Angel Correa can have a chance if he can play more wider like a right winger & also track back on defense. I don’t think his defensive skills are decent .
