Lautaro MARTINEZ confirmed to miss Argentina matches

Lautaro MARTINEZ will miss Argentina’s two friendly matches against Guatemala and Colombia.

A tweet from the official Argentina account has confirmed that tests were done on MARTINEZ’s left calm and a decision has been made for him to miss the two matches. As we reported a few times, he and Mauro ICARDI were serious doubts for the team.

Per reports, Giovanni SIMEONE will likely get the nod up front against Guatemala.

  1. 442 or 4312 is better for Argentina. One of the fullbacks can be played by a central back(young Ramos, Thuram, Howedes and Pavard), that gives a solid defense. In the midfield, 1 pure DM, 1 creative CM who can defend and 1 former winger converted into box to box with high defensive contribution like pressing(similar to Matuidi, Milner). Up front, we put a 9-half who can act as playmaker, 1 fast winger(opposite side to the b2b) who can play as 2nd striker when the 9-half move deep and 1 forward, ideally tall. That’s my ideal setup.

    A=Romero-Mammana, Pezzella, Mussachio, Tagliafico-Paredes, Ascacibar, Pereyea-Dybala-Angel Correa, Icardi
