Javier PASTORE scored for AS Roma in their 4-0 win against Entella.

PASTORE scored the last goal of the match following a pass from KLUIVERT. The former Palermo midfielder wasn’t the only Argentine to start for Roma as Federico FAZIO also played the entire match.

  1. He would have been a world class midfielder if it wasn’t for his stamina. He is decently fast with average acceleration. But he made up for that with 5 star skills and insane dribbling skills. His passes are amazing, and he has great determination. He was the dream for many managers, now he is just another fading player. It’s so sad to see so many Argentines go like this(Vietto, Perotti, Funes Mori, Pereyra, Franco Vásquez, Acuña, Salvio, Ansaldi, etc.). I am not saying they sucked, or that ghey have no time left, but turned out well below their potential. Also they are all 27-28 years old and they play for average clubs and most of them aren’t starters. They also have little experience woth NT, so they will be of little use to us by the time Quatar rolls around.

  2. Happy to see him back, AS Roma has the perfect system for him, number 10 in a 4231 with technical players around him. I like the forward, the fullbacks, wingers and especially the central midfielders behind him(Cristante or Nzonzi, Pellegrini). It’s a very balanced team with experienced players and young talents.

There is also Perotti in this team. He played very well last season but suddenly disappeared this year. I am big fan of Javier and him even though they may not be selected for the NT anymore. I believe that if Banega and them were not injured during 2010-2014, a 4141 with Mascherano as holding and Messi as false 9, a midfield Di Maria-Banega-Pastore-Perotti would have allowed Argentina to everything.
