Lisandro Martínez was substituted out injured for Manchester United.
Martínez went down holding his foot during Manchester United’s 2-2 draw in the Europa League against Sevilla. He would be substituted out with both Marcos Acuña and Gonzalo Montiel helping him off the pitch.
Manchester United coach Erik Ten Haag spoke to the media after the match about Lisandro’s injury. Here is what he had to say:
“I cannot tell what it is but it is not Achilles. No that is not the area.”
Ten Hag confirmed late on Thursday night that the Argentinian did not suffer an Achilles injury, as was first feared.
Bad news for Licha and Dybala today.
