The Europa League final is in a few hours and it’s Juan Musso and José Palomino’s Atalanta against Exequiel Palacios and Bayer Leverkusen.

At least one Argentine player will be lifting the Europa League trophy for another consecutive year. Juan Musso and José Palomino will try to win their first trophy with the club and Atalanta’s first European trophy.

Exequiel Palacios has already made history with Bayer Leverkusen. The club has gone undefeated the entire season and will look for a perfect ending, lifting their second European Cup, their first being in 1987-1988 when the tournament was still called the UEFA Cup.

Juan Musso has started every Europa League match for Atalanta, except for one, their last group stage match while José Palomino has not been a regular in the team. Exequiel Palacios has played in eight of Leverkusen’s 12 Europa League matches.

Palacios is part of the preliminary Argentina national team for the Copa America.

  1. Don’t be disappointed if palacios don’t start tonight Europe league final against atlanta because andrich Germany international has been good form lately who is competing with palacios in the midfielder,

      • Palacios injury saved Andrich season, Pala was the undisputed starter before it, now Andrich will be probably the starter DM in Euro. He plays good, scored important goals, but if you compare their stats Palacios is better in neirly everything. Fun fact Ezequiel has the highest dribbling success% with 88,5% in TOP5 leagues, the second with 80%. Much better in passing stats, playmaking stats, dribbling stats, defensive stats, duel stats than Andrich.

  2. Scaloni should have gone for equi, Enzo is coming back from operation, I know parades will play as DM, but equi should have got the chance.

  3. Atleast musso or benetez need to get a chance in Arg latest squad. Dump armani and rulli is a wasting 2 spot. Mussos current foam is important for Argentinas second best goalie spot
