Neymar was asked about Lionel Messi and the Brazilian called him an idol and a friend.
Lionel Messi and Neymar both played together at FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain. Neymar always spoke highly of Lionel Messi and Messi in return has always spoken highly of him.
Despite Messi being in Miami and Neymar in Saudia Arabia, the two are still in touch. Neymar was recently interviewed on Band Sports and was asked about Messi. Here is what he had to say:
“We are far away but we talk, we talk a lot. Even yesterday, he sent me a message but we are happy, we are happy for each other. For the title, he sent me a message when we won here too. I spoke to him, he’s a great guy, he’s a great mirror for me, he’s a great idol. Besides being an idol, he’s a friend I have and we talk a lot.”
