Matías Soulé is getting closer to joining AS Roma from Juventus.
Soulé could be joining AS Roma from Juventus. According to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedullà, AS Roma have increased their offer to €28 million plus bonuses.
AS Roma have made the Argentine a priority in the transfer market. The 21 year old would be joining Leandro Paredes and Paulo Dybala at the club.
Good move. This kind of reminds me of Cuti going to Genoa on loan from Juventus and then taking a major promotion and doing Atalanta on loan. In both cases they went to an average/lower rung team and then did a second leap to a much bigger team playing European football. I honestly wonder if Juventus might even do the same thing and just sell Soule for a good buck after this season. Will be incredible to see him play with Dybala and Paredes, who will certainly help his adaptation too.
Matias Soule seems like an interesting player, hopefully under Roma he can get enough opportunities to showcase his skill, we need more of the under 23 age group from Argentina playing consistently in Europe against tough teams to get a feel of the competition, good for their growth
With Dimaria gone and Messi’s aging body becoming more fragile, if we truly want to retain our world cup champion trophy and generate hunger & motivation, it is time to invest in youth and reinforce our flanks. We will need to find good pacy wingers, able to take on defenders like Doku. We need to try new fullbacks. Yes, Tagliafico again had another great final and no Colombian could pass him even once, he was again pretty average when attacking, which is why he has never convince any top tier clubs. Molina hasn’t improved at all and Montiel who is average RB and hardly played for Nottingham Forest was able to bench him. Only one of Molina or Montiel can be selected in the squad moving forward.
Regarding young and upcoming players Garnacho is definitely our most promising prospect. However he will be 20 yrs old this season and will not have a luxury of being labeled as young prospect! His finishing, dribbling and decision making skills are still developing and with Sancho back his playing time will be significantly less compared to last season. Man United can’t continue with a green player if he fails to impress early in the season. Especially with English media’s obsession with United, he will be back to being a third backup if he doesn’t show improvement from the beginning of the season.
