Valentín Castellanos scored twice for Lazio in their 5-1 away win against Como on matchday 10 of Serie A.

In the 27th minute, Lazio was awarded a penalty kick after a handball in the box. Castellanos took it and powerfully placed it to the left with his right foot, while the goalkeeper dived the other way, giving his team a 1-0 lead.

With Lazio leading 3-1 and both teams down to 10 men in the 81st minute, Castellanos received a pass as he entered the box, setting up a one-on-one against Como’s goalkeeper. The 26-year-old struck it with the inside of his right foot, placing the ball in the back of the net to score the 4-1 for his team.

The Argentine striker now has seven goals in 12 games this season; five in Serie A and two in the UEFA Europa League.

The young Argentine Nico Paz played the entire match for Como.

  1. Not really. He has 3 braces. So technically he has only scored in 4 of his 12 matches.
Not just Taty, Argentines have had a dreadful start to this season probably the worst ever return in over 3 decades.Lautaro has scored only 3 of the 12 matches.
Same with Julian, who with his move to Atlético has decided to step into B grade instead of fighting for titles.

    • Taty has a goal or assist in 7 of that 12 games..Even Haland has only scored/assisted in 8 of his 12 games..!
If we want any player to score or assist in every match…his name should be Messi…

    • Julian’s finishing has actually improved at Atletico not because his team-mates create plenty of chances but he has so few opportunities to score, he has to be extra clinical and it is already apparent in his last few matches! Also, with Grizeman’s dipping form and pace he will eventually be their main man in attack! Currently the whole team is playing poor and the only Julian is the only one dragging them.
