Julián Álvarez scored twice for Atletico Madrid in their 2-1 win vs. Bayer Leverkusen.
Álvarez got both goals for Atletico in their win and Ángel Correa getting an assist on the second goal. With Leverkusen leading 1-0, Álvarez fought off two Leverkusen players as he was through on goal and he would score to draw Atletico level.
Ángel Correa was substituted into the match and at 1-1, he would play a pass to Álvarez who would dribble around the goalkeeper and score. The Argentine now has six goals in seven Champions League matches.
Nahuel Molina, Giuliano Simeone and Rodrigo De Paul also started the match for Atletico.
Watched the highlights and Alvarez was amazing! I wonder how much better Man City would be doing if they he kept him?
He made a statement today with these two goals! Incredible finishing and with little to no service like usual! 16 goals and 2 assist in a defensive minded team under Cholo is a no joke feat!
Atlético Madrid playing attacking football this season so defensive as they used be
