Lautaro Martínez scored a hat trick for Inter in their 3-0 win vs. Monaco and became Inter’s all time leading goal scorer in the Champions League.
Martínez had three goals for Inter to make it five goals in eight Champions League matches, four in his last two for Inter. They were awarded a penalty kick and Lautaro took it and went down the middle, scoring to give Inter the 1-0 lead.
With Inter leading 1-0, the ball fell to Lautaro inside the penalty area and his first time effort beat the goalkeeper to make it 2-0 for Inter. At 2-0, Inter played the ball from the back and it was an effort on goal by Mkhitaryan which was saved but the 27 would get the rebound and score.
The Argentine now has 17 goals in the Champions League, the most goals ever scored for Inter.
Good to see finally lautaro given chances to take PK which he deserve from last 3 seasons but somehow surprisingly inter not giving that to their top scorer which is strange in europe
Anyway all 3 goals of him was poor finish but we are lucky to see a champions pegue hatrick in this post messi era
Poor finish is slightly unfair friend, he did his job. Lauaro is such a good number 9, he does it all, he can score as a poacher, he does a lot of running, his link-up play is top notch. In the same game, his flick to Pavard could have been a delicious assist but Monaco goalie saved it. Both Julian and Lautaro are amazing players, how many nations can boast to have 2 such quality no 9s?
