Álvarez made it 23 goals this season with Atletico Madrid with 11 of them coming in the league, seven in the Champions League and give in the Copa del Rey. With the score at 0-0, Giuliano Simeone would play a pass to Julián Álvarez and he would score to give Atletico Madrid the 1-0 lead.
Atletico Madrid would take a 2-0 lead but FC Barcelona would score four goals after Atletico’s two.
The 25 year old would be substituted out in the second half. Rodrigo De Paul and Giuliano Simeone also started the match for Diego Simeone’s team.
