Lionel Messi scores for Inter Miami in 4-1 loss vs. Minnesota

Lionel Messi scored for Inter Miami in their 4-1 away loss to Minnesota on Matchday 12 of Major League Soccer.

With his team losing 2-0 in the 48th minute, the Argentine legend received a pass from Jordi Alba inside the box, controlled it, and fired a low, left-footed shot across goal to pull one back for the Florida side.

Javier Mascherano’s team has now lost four of their last five matches. They were eliminated from the Concacaf Champions League last week and currently sit fourth in the Eastern Conference standings, with one more game to play than the other teams.

  1. Inter Miami is simply a retirement home and being in Miami LOL no pun intended. Messi could only do so much physically and the lack of talent and speed around him is horrendous nm Masche. I just hope the Boss is not humiliated this summer internationally

    • How? We will beat Chile and overrated Columbia (still crying since Copa final) comfortably with or without Messi too!

      • C’MON Man, I was talking about playing for INTER MIAMI “THIS” Summer in the WC Club football, nobody said anything about ARGENTINA!

        • Who cares about CWC? Their opponents not that strong getting humiliated, Porto, Palmeiras, Al Ahly, maybe TOP2 is possible, if not 3 or 4 points even with Mascherano.
