Strasbourg are in advanced talks to sign Joaquín Panichelli of Alavés.
Joaquín Panichelli could be joining Strasbourg. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Ligue 1 side are looking to close the deal this week from Alavés for the 22 year old forward.
It would be an agreement close to €16 million for the Argentine. Panichelli spent last season on loan at Mirandés in the second division in Spain where he scored 20 league goals.
Never heard of him but this has peaked my interest and now this Panichelli has my attention. Strasbourg is an exciting team that showed a lot of potential in the 2nd half of last season (much like Como in Italy) and if they continue on that path they could turn some heads next season in Ligue 1.
Interesting move. I didn’t even know him before. Strasbourg has a very young & exciting squad. With Barco he already has a fellow Argentinian there. Could be a good fit.
