At 1-1, Emiliano Martínez made a save to keep the score at one each. At 1-1, the ball was crossed down to the wing and it found Buendía.

The Argentine would cut inside and score to give Aston Villa the 2-1 lead. The 28 year old now has two goals and one assist for Aston Villa.

  1. Emi Buendia deserves another chance for the NT. Argentina has plenty of good midfielders doing so well, but the problem is Scaloni won’t drop likes of De Paul and Lo Celso who don’t deserve to be in the NT now.

    • There is a way to include additional players. I am no expert in FIFA rules. FIFA mandates that a team must have 3 GKs, so name Otamendi (or anyone) as a 3rd GK and that frees up a spot.

      I dont see a reason why Scaloni needs to include 3 professional GKs

        • Resorting to demeaning labels like “clown” or “idiot” to insult or belittle someone — how mature indeed.

          Only people with anger issues or who are insecure about the size of their manhood resort to such childish behavior.
