Alexis Mac Allister returned from a knee injury in great form in Liverpool’s 4-2 win vs. Newcastle.
Mac Allister came onto the field in the 74th minute and only ten minutes later provided a precise long pass in between Newcastle’s center-backs that left Diogo Jota face-to-face with the goalkeeper. The play ended with the referee calling a penalty kick after a foul by Newcastle’s goalkeeper.
The 25-year-old Argentine returned from a knee injury after a knock he received in Liverpool’s 2-0 win against Sheffield United on December 6th, 2023.
The Reds finished matchday 20 at the top of the Premier League.
