Nicolás Otamendi scored for Benfica in their 6-1 win vs. Vizela.

Otamendi scored a goal similar to the one he scored for Argentina against Brazil in November’s World Cup qualifier. Benfica were awarded a corner kick and the cross inside the penalty area fell to Otamendi and the Argentine would head the ball and score to give Benfica the 2-0 lead.

The 36 year old has now scored three goals this season, two in the league and one in the Allianz Cup.

  1. Velez gave 16 year old Alvaro Montoro his debut and he assisted Velez’ winning goal. In January Barcelona tried to sign him but then dropped the idea.
    We’ve heard the name of Axel Luna. This season Tevez signed him for Independiente and the 19 year old has started the last few matches. This is his first taste of Top level football as previously he has only played in the Primera Nacional.
