Thiago Almada wins Brasileirão with Botafogo

Just a week after helping Botafogo win their first-ever Copa Libertadores, Thiago Almada secured the 2024 Brasileirão by defeating São Paulo 2-1 at home on the final matchday. This victory gave the club its third Brazilian League title in history, adding to their wins in 1968 and 1995.

The 23-year-old Argentine midfielder played a key role for the Brazilian team this season and added another major trophy to his collection:

2022 World Cup

2024 Copa Libertadores

2024 Brasileirão

With his stellar performances this year, Almada strengthens his chances of earning a bigger role in Lionel Scaloni’s Argentina squad in 2025.
