Alexis Mac Allister has spoken about how Lionel Scaloni changed his career.
Mac Allister became a starter with the Argentina national team during the 2022 World Cup. He started Argentina’s 2-0 win against Poland and has kept his place in the team since that match. Speaking in an intervoew with La Media Inglesa, here is what he had to say:
“The one who changed my career was Scaloni because he had the balls to put me in. We were in a situation where it was win or win and he still had the courage to say ‘let’s put Alexis, who is 21 years old and never played a World Cup match’. My thanks always go to him. After that, you have to perform on the pitch”
