Messi got his first goal of the season for Inter Miami. With Atlanta United leading 1-0, the Argentine would steal the ball, dribble inside the penalty area and chip the goalkeeper to draw Inter Miami level.
The 37 year old would play the entire match and Javier Mascherano’s team would get another goal for the 2-1 win.

+63 kilogramm, Xavi was +5 cm and +5 kilo at least and wasnt a pivot.
Height is of very little (if any) importance when it comes to midfield players. One of the finest DMs of recent times is kante and he’s not much taller (168cm I believe).
Fitness, core strength and anticipation are the hallmarks of a good DM.

Maybe he’s one of those coaches that needs to be able to pick his side. Youth coaches can only work with the players available. But with Miami he can ask for certain types of players in transfers.
To me it seems like two different skill sets.
