Emiliano Martínez: “I’m looking for something to better myself”

Emiliano Martínez has stated that he is looking for something to better himself.

Martínez gave an interview with BPlay where he spoke about how he had insomnia for three months after his save against Randal Kolo Muani in the 2022 World Cup final. In the same interview, Martínez commented on how he is continuing to want to improve. Here is what he had to say:

“I work with my psychologist. I’m a world champion, I won four Golden Gloves, two The Best and two Yashin for the best goalkeeper in the world.”

“I’m looking for something to better myself. I’m missing things that make me push myself to keep fighting against me. Today, it’s Dibu against Dibu. I made it to the top and… how did you fight against that?”

“It’s hard to get to the top and, once you get there, you say…. ‘what do I do now?’ The best example is Leo. He’s still striving after winning the Ballon d’Or at 37 years of age.”
