Lautaro Martínez and Valentín Carboni scored for Inter in their 2-1 victory over Urawa Red Diamonds. It was a hard-fought and challenging match for the Italian side, who remain alive in the Club World Cup thanks to goals from the Argentine duo.
The Japanese team took an early lead, and Lautaro came close to equalizing in the first half with a header that struck the crossbar.
In the 78th minute, the 27-year-old Argentine forward connected with a corner kick and scored a stunning bicycle kick to level the match, releasing all his frustration in the celebration.
In stoppage time, recently substituted Carboni—returning from a long injury layoff—found the ball inside the box and calmly finished with his right foot, placing the ball just inside the post to seal the 2-1 win.
Inter will play their final group stage match against River Plate next Wednesday.
Speaking of fans, nobody and I mean nobody has more passion for football than ARGENTINA supporters, in this Club WC, the last COPA and WC, it is insane how much they represent regardless where the tournament takes place.
Echeverri, could today be the day???
39 years like today take place the football match that change the course of football sport forever.

Capo dei capi aka El Diego was one of a kind, kids these days glaze Messi and it’s very well- deserved but they’ll never understand unless they watched him live…..enough said
With all my respect to this place that tranfers Argentine national team to the people around the world i want to say something. The fact that exist 2 Argentine clubs that participate in one global tournament like this and the news of them is receive worse attention than one random player (irrelevant which one) that score a goal for a foreign club is something that really make me feel awful.
This is the reason that Argentine people like me we lost desire to be active here or to start be present here. I am sure European people too don t be active here because their desire to learn and read about Argentine football is not satisfied.
Argentine football is the heart an the blood of Argentine national team. There is not exist Argentina national team without Argentine football.
I am not saying that Mundo should focus on Argentine league but to ignore the Argentine clubs in this tournament is beyond my imagination.
Anyway gongrats to Boca for the wonderful picture show till today that make Argentina proud and i wish my beloved RIVER PLATE succeed to qualify next round too. Yes we hate each other but now we represent Argentina. So i wish them the best too for the shake of Argentina.
How did Mastantauno play ? The highlights of the match doesn’t cover the minute details you notice when you are watching a live game.
The kid played well, I just hope RM doesn’t screw him over.
Man of the match.
Lautaro need to hire a super agent who can move him out of dinosaur Italian league. The method and style have not progressed for 20 years. Just look at the state of their NT.
I feel Lautaro won’t be able to and we will see his demise as a player in 2-3 years.
Whats the fuss about the LB position in the NT if we have Valentin Barco getting regular minutes in the French League? What was everyone babbling about?
Watching River after a long gap. Maxi Meza is still consistently playing bad. Mastantuono is amazing. Acuna still good.
It was frustrating to watch. Had high hopes.
Meza looks like a slow motion. Seeing the game today, safe to assume that river is not going to win libertadores this season. They just have some decent names in squad. Once mastantuno goes, they will offensively lose all power.
Super goal for lautaro Martinez but he needs to leave Inter Milan asap. Very happy for valentin Carboni.
There is no rhythm to this game thus far and red cards are bound to happen. Let’s hope it doesn’t happen!
I’m so happy for Valentín Carboni after long term injury to play and scored couldn’t be any better come back than this
What is Carboni’s best position? If Inter move Mkhitaryan on, can he play there?
Inter is awful, it’s like a dead man walking and Martinez deserves better.
