River Plate eliminated from Club World Cup after 2-0 loss vs. Inter

River Plate have been eliminated from the Club World Cup after their 2-0 loss against Inter.

The Argentine club lost their last match at the Club World Cup and are out of the tournament. A red card for Lucas Martínez Quarta and goals by Francesco Esposito and Alessandro Bastoni eliminated River Plate who finished the group on four points.

Both clubs from Argentina, Boca Juniors and River Plate, are eliminated. Lautaro Martínez and Valentín Carboni along with Inter finish first in the group ahead of Monterrey.

  1. Echeverri will be out 2-3 weeks according to ManCity’s medical staff due to serious ankle injury. He finally gets to play and scores only to be injured and out of the tournament. I had no idea he’s 5’10”, I thought he was shorter, maybe 7″ or 8″!
