The Round of 16 at the Club World Cup begins on Saturday with 10 Argentine players available to play in the two matches.
In the first match of the Round of 16, it is Agustín Giay, Aníbal Moreno, José Manuel López and Palmeiras who finished first in Group A against Álvaro Montoro, Alexander Barboza and Botafogo who finished second in Group B.
Saturday’s second game is Ángel Di María, Gianluca Prestianni, Nicolás Otamendi and Benfica against Enzo Fernández, Aarón Anselmino and Chelsea who finished second in Group D. For Enzo Fernández, he will be playing against his old club.
The winners of both sets of matches will play against each other in the quarter finals.
Watching Prestianni play the guy can’t make a single pass and he is a midget. Can we produce a freaking player over 5’8”? These guys look microscopic.
That’s a strange rant hahaha….Garnacho 5’9., Nico Paz, Valentin Carboni both around 6’1 🙂 Mateo Pellegrino 6’4, Lomonaco and Trolio also 6’4.
Argentina club teams need a reality check. Boca and River both played like trash. The league honestly looks like trash. We sell players way too young and they die on the bench due to lack of minutes or we don’t play them at all waiting to sell them. Sad state. I mean Jesus it’s embarassing how bad they performed. The product is worse than MLS.
Anyone paying attention to Giay at Palmeiras this club wc? He’s a regular, sometimes a RB, sometimes a RCB in a back 3 or 5. Is he a viable option?
No he is not as good as we think…
J. Correa still have some magic
Little underrated
Alexander Barboza the iron wall
But
Alavaro Montoro
Something Boss
Very much talented
Just need to be strong in physically
What the hell are you talking about? Giay is good defensively. That player is workaholic. You trash him then go on to overhype Tucu correa, on of the worst inter Milan flop? That’s a bad joke
If Chelsea beats Benfica today they have a solid chance of advancing to the semi finals. Also Enzo will be playing against his old club.
