Matías Soulé scored for AS Roma in their 1-0 win against Everton.
Soulé got his second goal of the pre-season for AS Roma. After scoring and assisting for AS Roma in their 2-0 win against Lens, the 22 year old continued scoring.
With the score at 0-0, the Argentine received the ball inside the penalty area and he cut inside, with his effort beating the goalkeeper for AS Roma’s goal.
I must have missed something but didn’t Dibu say his goodbyes to Villa at the end of last season? Nobody wanted him?🤔
That’s correct, it’s been a weird marker for elite goalkeepers. It seems like Dibu is staying at Villa after all…
Emi Buendia is another player deserves to be in the list of September matches, him and soule has been in good form thier respective clubs in the per season matches
IMO, Buendia could have been more useful if he was more of a box-to-box, central midfielder, he is more of an attacking playmaker and as such he is not going to find it easy. Perhaps he has some attributes that would make him suitable for playing deeper.
I completely agree emi Buendia should play deep role like where de Paul or macallister/ enzo plays i mean he just can play as part of midfielder three/ creative role like enzo or macallister does move out the left side on midfielder sometimes
If his defensive work rate is decent, that’s 80% of a box-to-box material given his already good attacking instincts. Let’s see how he does at Villa this season.
Finally he is moulding into something i really wanted for long. Simeone & Soule on the right plus Nico & Garnacho (he has to improve himself a lot to earn the place) on the left ain’t bad shout for now . I always said Soule is the closest thing I saw replacing Fideo. Remember Di-Maria’s early days in this very forum people used to call him “headless chicken” but boy oh boy didn’t he prove all of us wrong so I still have some hope for our young guns just wish Scaloni comes up with some ideas without Messi and drop some oldies eventually also fix the midfield issues since Paul went on USA in retirement league(no offence to my fellow brothers in USA).
I hope Soule is called up in September and integrated into the team from that point on. Gasperini who is now at Roma has a good track record developing young players and Soule could be a great impact sub if we need a dynamic player on the right wing. Simeone is more of a workshorse than a flair or creative player. Soule has a wicked left foot, can assist or score. Moreover, his defensive contribution is way above average too!
Time to integrate a competent winger with good finishing skills which can develop to another level! Simeone & Garnacho don’t have the end product which Soùle posses yet!
Additionally, Enzo fernández had a very good last season but he can’t be complacent! He has to bring in more attacking aspect of his game into play. His progressive passes needs to result in goals and with new strikers in Chelsea it should be more effective than with Jackson upfront! However Garnacho is headed to Chelsea and if he also doesn’t improve his IQ and finishing and improve soon then Chelsea will offload him in no time!
Hope Soule wil not end up as one of the underutilized talents at NT level. Perotti for instance was constantly overlooked by the previous coaches, even when he was in his prime while playing for Sevilla and Roma.
