Ángel Di María delivered a moment of brilliance in the 37th minute of the second half to give Rosario Central a 1-0 victory over rivals Newell’s in the clásico rosarino.
The 36-year-old curled a free kick perfectly into the top corner, igniting wild celebrations at the Gigante de Arroyito. The goal, Di María’s third of the season in the Liga Profesional Argentina, came after his first two had been scored from the penalty spot.
Visibly emotional, Di María celebrated with his trademark heart gesture, dedicating the goal to his wife and family in the stands. The stadium erupted in an ovation, with the home crowd saluting their idol in what turned into one of the most memorable nights since his return to Rosario Central.
Que golazo! Fideo con la magica! Campeon de mundo y el jugador mas importante despues de Messi de este generacion.
Anyone has seen Jano Gordon from Velez. Rightback who seems doing well in Libertadores & only 21. 4 Argentine teams in quaters is good. But all look weak for a real contender. I doubt if River will survive Palmerias bout. Gallardo’s this innings looks lackluster to say the least
This Rodriguez kid for Inter Miami is alright 👌🇦🇷
Such an amazing player. I would love for him to come out of retirement and play for la selección again.
