Argentina U20 national team starting eleven vs. Italy at U20 World Cup

Argentina U20 national team coach Diego Placente has named his starting eleven for the match against Italy at the U20 World Cup.

The Argentina U20 national team are already qualified for the Round of 16 at the U20 World Cup following a 3-1 win against Cuba and a 4-1 win against Australia in their first two matches. Argentina lead Group D with six points, Italy are second on four points and Cuba behind them on one point.

Diego Placente’s team need a draw to secure first place in the group. A win for Italy would take them to first and Argentina to second place.

Here is the starting eleven:

Barbi; Fernández, Pierani, Ramírez, Soler; Andrada, Delgado, Montoro; Carrizo, Sarco and Andino

  1. tight game. But expected against the Italians who have consistently played well in recent U20 WCs with top four finishes. The physicality of Italians is the real test. Montoro not visible. Santiago Fernandez also not looking ideal for RB. Subs can be the key today to unlock
