Julián Álvarez spoke about Cristian Romero being linked with a move to Atletico Madrid.
Álvarez joined Atletico Madrid last year and has played with several Argentine players. During the summer transfer market, Cristian Romero was being linked with a move from Tottenham Hotspur to Diego Simeone’s team. Speaking in an interview with Marca, Julián Álvarez spoke about Romero and if he would like to play with him. Here is what he had to say:
“Yes, yes. Obviously, I would have liked to. Cuti is one of the best defenders in the world. I spend time with him on the national team, and I really think he’s a star, a competitive animal, very strong defensively. And yes, I had some conversations with him, and due to details, it didn’t happen, but hopefully one day we can play together.”
