Cristian Romero is set to join Atletico Madrid from Tottenham Hotspur.
Romero will be leaving Tottenham Hotspur and Atletico Madrid is set to be the club he will join. According to Fernando Czyz, Romero has thanked Atletico Madrid, FC Barcelona and Inter for their interest but he will be joining Atletico Madrid.
Talks are set to reach a full agreement and the aim is for the Argentine to be in Madrid by Wednesday or Thursday.

From a tactical, social AND psychological perspective, Romero to Atleti is a match-made in heaven.
I don’t like it at all given Simeone’s history at stagnating the careers of Argentinian players. Atleti aren’t as strong a team as they were 10 years ago. They have Nico Gonzalez playing for them for God’s sake smh… also the fact a lot more of our players going to Atleti means the association with “dark arts” ain’t leaving us anytime soon smh.
