Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni spoke about his players after the team’s 6-0 win against Bolivia.

Lionel Scaloni coached his team to a 6-0 win against Bolivia in the South American World Cup qualifiers on Tuesday and the team leads the table. Scaloni spoke to the media after the match. Here is what he had to say:

“The important thing is that the players go out on the field and play for their team, for their people.

“They were two matches loaded with many things but we managed to overcome them. In the end, as we tell the players, when you have the right attitude and good spirits, things happen and you don’t get upset.

“The best players are in the Argentine National Team and there is no relaxation. We believe that this also comes a lot from the young players, who are eager to be there.

“In the National Team the player gives his all, regardless of who is sitting on the bench. Those who are in the starting line-up are just as important as the rest. They all keep the group together and perform well when it’s their turn to play.

Scaloni also commented on the win against Bolivia:

“This was not an easy game. Then it opened up and the team was able to break free. We’ve played better games, but when you win like that, it’s magnified. We understand better how to play and that’s what time gives us.

“I think this team is eager to play the ball, to get together and pass it, to attack and not let them score. They feel comfortable passing the ball and recovering it quickly. If people are happy, it’s incredible for us. We don’t feel pressure, we enjoy it.”
