Paulo DYBALA to miss Juventus clash

Paulo DYBALA will miss Juventus’ second leg Champions League clash against Bayern Munich due to injury.

Per Juventus.com’s official website, DYBALA suffered a swollen soleus muscle. He will have further tests done ahead of their match against Torino on Sunday.

Nicolas OTAMENDI out injured

Nicolas OTAMENDI suffered an injury in Manchester City’s Champions League match against Dynamo Kyiv.

OTAMENDI had to be substituted off in the first half of the match but did comment on his injury following the match. Speaking to Manchester City’s official website, here’s what he had to say:

“It was something similar to a quadriceps paralysis, I may review that tomorrow but the knock was so deep I couldn’t keep playing and decided to leave my place to a teammate.”

“I’ll have a medical review tomorrow. I hope everything is fine and I could be called up by Argentina.”

Mateo MUSACCHIO: “It’s great joy”

Mateo MUSACCHIO spoke about his call-up to the Argentina National Team.

The Villarreal defender just missed out on the Copa America last year with a horrific injury which kept him sidelined for several months. The 25 year old has 3 caps to his name but all of which were friendly matches.

“For me it’s great joy and revenge, revenge for what happened to me last year.”

“It was a tough year but I’ve turned the page and feel comfortable playing again. The call up comes at a great time, it’s a good opportunity”.

“They’re important matches for what their significance. I’ve played in friendly matches but those are different. I’m going to try and enjoy myself and if I get the chance to play, I’ll try and seize it all.”

Gerardo MARTINO has released his list of players for Argentina’s World Cup Qualifying matches later this month against Chile and Bolivia.

Some new faces on the team, including goalkeeper RULLI, defenders VANGIONI, PINOLA and midfielder Augusto FERNANDEZ.
