Lautaro Martínez has become Inter’s all time leading foreign goal scorer.

Martínez scored for Inter in their 3-0 win vs. Empoli, entering the club’s record books. That goal brought the Argentine to 134 goals, becoming Inter’s high scoring forein player.

Since joining Inter, he scored 107 goals in Serie A, 8 in the Coppa Italia, 16 in Europe and three in the Supercoppa Italiana.

Lautaro Martínez spoke about finishing in seventh place in the Ballon d’Or voting.

Martínez ranked seventh place in the Ballon d’Or, despite having a solid season. The Agentine won the Copa America with the Argentina national team, scoring the goal in the final which won the team the trophy and also finished as the Copa America top scorer.

With Inter, he won Serie A, while being named the Serie A MVP and top scorer. Speaking in an interview with DAZN, here is what Lautaro had to say:

“To be honest, I was expecting more than 7th position at the Ballon d’Or. Sometimes at these awards they are unfair”.

“I remember 3 La Masia players were nominated for the Ballon d’Or. Xavi and Iniesta could not win because Messi was a monster. Cristiano was a monster too and the father of the monster is Messi.”
