Emiliano Buendía has joined Bayer Leverkusen on loan from Aston Villa.

Buendía joined the Bundesliga champions on loan until the end of the season. Both clubs announced the transfer of the 28 year old but no mention of a clause was made. Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Simon Rolfes had this to say about the Argentine:

“Buendia is a good, technically versatile player who plays in a passionate and assertive way. He’s played more than 100 games in the demanding Premier League and brings a lot of experience to help us immediately in achieving our goals.”

Teo Rodríguez Pagano scored for the Argentina u20 national team in their 1-0 win against Bolivia.

The Argentina U20 national team have qualified for the final round of the South American Youth Championship after their win. Diego Placente’s team won 1-0 with a goal from outside of the penalty area from Teo Rodríguez Pagano.

Placente’s team will play Ecuador on Saturday.

Emiliano Buendía is close to joining Bayer Leverkusen from Aston Villa.

Buendía could be playing for the Bundesliga champions. According to César Luis Merlo, Aston Villa are negotiating the final details of a loan deal for the 28 year old until June with an option to buy.

The Argentine joined Aston Villa in 2021 from Norwich City but missed the 2023-2024 season due to injury.

Lisandro Martínez scored for Manchester United in their 1-0 win vs. Fulham.

Martínez got his second goal of the season for Manchester United, scoring the only goal in their win. With the score at 0-0 and work from Alejandro Garnacho down the wing, the ball fell to Lisandro and his effort on goal took a huge deflection and he scored to give Manchester United the 1-0 lead.

He now has two goals in his last three matches.
