Bologna have reached an agreement with Vélez for Santiago Castro.

Per reports by Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio from Sky Sports, the 19-year-old striker will join Bologna on a five-year contract. As stated in an official announcement by the Argentina Football Association, the player left the U-23 national team on Wednesday and traveled to Buenos Aires with AFA president Claudio Tapia and Doctor Fernando Rudi to undergo a medical check-up.

Castro will return to Venezuela and train again with his Argentina teammates this Friday.

The Argentina national team will play Ecuador in June and one of Guatemala or Honduras.

Lionel Scaloni’s team will play two friendly matches in June before the Copa America and both will be in the United States. According to Felipe Cárdenas, Argentina will play Ecuador in Chicago and they will play against Guatemala or Honduras in Washington.

The Argentina U23 team are first in their group with four points. Javier Mascherano’s team were awarded a penalty kick and it was Thiago Almada who would score to give the Argentina U23 team the win 1-0 lead.

Luciano Gondou was substituted in for Santiago Castro and he would score his second goal of the pre-Olympics. Argentina will play Chile on Tuesday.
