Messi continues to break records, this time adding to his trophy cabinet. The Argentine reached 45 career trophies, the most all time of any player all time.

The Argentina national team have won four trophies and lost twice in five years.

Lionel Scaloni’s Argentina national team continue to make history. In the last half decade, Argentina have won a World Cup, two Copa’s America and a Finalissima, losing only two times in the process.

Those two matches being against Saudi Arabia at the 2022 World Cup and against Uruguay in the South American World Cup qualifiers.

Martínez scored five goals at the 2024 Copa America, winning the Golden Boot for the top goal scorer. Three of his five goals were as substitutes.

The Argentine scored one goal against Canada in the opening match of the Copa America and against Chile, both goals were after he was substituted into the match. He started against Peru, scoring two goals and in the Copa America final against Colombia, he was substituted in and scored.

Martínez was named as the Best Goalkeeper of the 2024 Copa America after Argentina’s 1-0 win vs. Colombia in the final. Martínez kept five clean sheets in six matches, also saving two penalty kicks in the quarter finals against Ecuador.

He was also named as the 2021 Copa America Best Goalkeeper and the 2022 World Cup Golden Glove winner.
