Velez Sarsfield picked up a 3-2 win against Estudiantes.
In what was an absolute “will they or won’t they play” scenario, the Argentine Primera was back and we were treated to a match which produced 5 goals on Thursday. Mariano PAVONE was the author of two goals (the opening one and match winner) with Diego ZABALA scoring the the other one for Velez.
For Estudiantes, Augusto SOLARI scored the first one to draw level and Javier TOLEDO scored the second to make it to 2-2 before Mariano PAVONE added his second of the night in the 45th minute after a mistake at the back from Estudiantes.
Match Highlights:
On Friday it’s Patronato hosting Arsenal de Sarandi.
Anybody seen Banfield vs Boca? What a player Frank Fabra, too bad he is not Argentine, we could so use him as a left-back. Soto was good defensively in that game. Amongst Boca youngsters, Bou and Centurion were average IMO, Pavon a bit better.
I’ll watch Enganche. Not live
Correa and Vazquez in attack and Montoya and Kranevitter in midfield for Sevilla today.
Finally get started. Yes, Andujar was mediocree at best
By the way, Andujar was pretty mediocre in this game, not sure why he deserves to be in the NT and not Rulli or at least Caballero.
Because he is senior member of the cartel(led by masche).
Thanks for Primera content Roy.
