Former Argentina National Team coach Alejandro SABELLA made a rare public appearance on Sunday.
Alejandro SABELLA was in attendance to watch his beloved Estudiantes de La Plata team as they played Newell’s Old Boys at home at the Estadio Unico de La Plata. SABELLA has been off the radar after leading Argentina to the World Cup final due to health problems. Now 63, SABELLA is rumored to have gone through cardiovascular problems although the exact situation is unknown. This was SABELLA’s first public appearance in over three years.
Mariano ANDUJAR (part of the current Estudiantes de La Plata setup who has also been part of a few Alejandro coached teams) spoke after the match about having his former coach in attendance.
Mariano ANDUJAR on Alejandro SABELLA
“Alejandro is a friend. In the National Team and here, it’s something beautiful. Having him come and watch the team fills me with immense joy.”
Sabella is a coach who understands the game so well.He madr us compact defensively as well as attacking wise when all other coaches couldnt do much.May he come back to coaching for a reputed team so that people outside Argentina recognize this great mind
sampaoli need to discuss with this good coach…
One single step missed to gain the glory of World Cup, however he remains as one of the best coach for N/T. God Bless Sabella with long life and excellent health
Stay healthy old man. May God bless you.
One of the albicelestes finest coaches without a doubt, good to see him up and about.
Thank you for the great service. Best Argentina coach by far in my opinion. Anyone can say whatever they want, but I saw the best entertaining and attacking football by the NT in 2012-13. It was more enjoyable than the overhyped 2006 team.
By far the best coach we had for the last 2 decades & if he stayed we would have won the last 2 copas. Thanks for your service and wish you good health.
The only one who figured out a way to integrate Messi in NT. Thanks for your service.
