Both Gonzalo HIGUAIN and Mauro ICARDI scored for their respective clubs but it was HIGUAIN’s goal which gave his team the win.
One of the biggest (if not the biggest) match of the European football calendar came on Saturday as Inter hosted Juventus. With the Serie A title race being extremely close, Juventus needed all three points to maintain their lead at the top while Inter needed all three points to try and get a Champions League spot.
Paulo DYBALA started the match on the bench for Juventus while the two opposite number 9’s started. Douglas COSTA gave Juventus a 1-0 lead and shortly after Matias VECINO got himself red carded for Inter which meant they would play with a man down for the remainder of the match. Captain ICARDI showed his maturity and he selflessly ran and pressed the Juventus back line alone and eventually scored in the 51st minute with a fantastic header.
Gonzalo HIGUAIN had a fantastic opportunity to put his team ahead and after being one on one and rounding the goalkeeper, he hit the side netting. Shortly after, Andrea BARZAGLI scored an own goal which gave Inter a 2-1 lead. Mauro ICARDI was substituted off late in the match and was visibily frustrated with the decision. In came Paulo DYBALA and after he was brought into the game, Juventus equalised with a Milan SKRINIAR own goal.
At 2-2, the match was set for a winner and a winner there was as Gonzalo HIGUAIN redeemed himself for his earlier miss and just like Mauro ICARDI, he headed the ball in for the winner.
[…] came in the 34th, 62nd and 90th minute. That win against second place Napoli combined with Gonzalo HIGUAIN scoring the winner for Juventus on Saturday makes HIGUAIN and DYBALA’s chances of winning the league that much […]

Lucas Biglia about his injury, “I’m trying to shorten the times, I always do it with all my injuries and this is not going to be the first or the last, I’m going to try to play in the Serie A final. I’ve already talked with Sampaoli”.
In that sense, this Saturday spoke Gennaro Gattuso, who appreciated the desire of Lucas but asked calmly take his recovery. “He has a big head, but we should not fool around with his recovery, he has a serious injury that we have to keep under control” , told the Italian coach.
Without being fully fit why do these players do this kind of things? It’s not about their personal desires, glory or dreams; They are playing for the National Team and they are representing the country; At any cost they should be wanting the team to fight for all and get everything positive;
Higuain is done as a player. He should join MLS next season.
Icardi showed a great leadership. Hopefully he wiĺl lead our team in Qatar after we sack the bald man.
