Rodrigo DE PAUL is currently being linked with both Tottenham as well as Atletico Madrid.

A news report by Tuttomercatoweb claims that Tottenham have offered £21.7 million for DE PAUL. However, Maurico POCHETTINO’s team appear to be getting some competition from another club who is coached by an Argentine.

According to Sky Sport, DE PAUL’s agent met with Udinese’s sporting director Daniele PRADE as well as Atletico’s sporting director Andrea BERTA. It is also worth noting that DE PAUL’s agent, Agustin JIMENEZ, is also the agent of Angel CORREA and Axel WERNER.

  5. I monitoring Rulli from Real soceadad since 2017 almost 80% match. Rullis last 2 year performance… I think he is one of the worst / Bad goal keeper I have ever seen. Lot of error pronens, lot of mistake… One or two good match will not be the symbol of national team level. Our copa goal keeper will be … Gazzaniga,romero,Benitez

  9. no doubt …paredes is very skillfull and a very good passer.but he is not defensively solid also very lazy at his defensive work. so he should be consider as a central midfielder.we need at least 2 proper defensivemidfielder
    who definitely bring defensive stability.Battaglia is injured.our future hope ascacebar and caceres.but their improvement is very less.i think this position will suffer more in the future.coz paresdes lo celso Banega palacios all are CM or Box to Box type mid. defensive midfield roll is very important.

    • Yeah agreed he need definitely a defensive guy to make him more comfortable, if you just put Lo Celso and Paredes without any more defensive profile like 4231, the defense will suffer and hard to win back the ball. Defensive midfielder has always been our problem, Mascherano was the last world class player in this position. Battaglia, Ascacibar and Kranevitter are all a class below. The other solution would be putting a more dynamic and defensive box to box in a more advanced position, along with Lo Celso and Paredes, in order to maintain the protection. There are choices on that, Vazquez with Sevilla is doing that, there are also Palaccios and Almendra, but both are not mature yet.

    • De Paul was used few times as left winger back, in a 352 with his club, like Candela with Roma in the past, right foot left winger back. As a winger back, I’d prefer Cervi to him. I believe that for a left or right foot player who plays on the opposite side, should always play in an advanced position in order to cut in.

      Currently we don’t have any defensive midfielder to help Paredes so we should always play with 3 midfielders. So either 433 or 352. 352 is my favorite one, I can imagine a defense of Mamman, Foyth and Otamendi, Paredes as regista, Vazquez or Palaccios as box to box, Lo Celso, Lanzini, Pity and Vargas compete for the creative CM. On each side you got Saravia and Cervi. In attack Messi and a striker(Correa, Icardi, Martinez, …etc.)
