Nicolas DOMINGUEZ of Velez Sarsfield is set to join Bologna.

Part of the recent Argentina national team call-up, the Velez Sarsfield midfielder is expected to fly out to Italy to complete his medical as he will make the switch over to Bologna. Playing impressively well under Gabriel HEINZE’s team, the Italian club will reportedly pay €9.5 million.

  1. Would like to see this guy and Palacios playing together in our Midfield. It will give another dimension to our midfield I guess.

I don’t know, my friend. I think Argentina league is more interesting with several clubs that can be competitive to each other unlike dominated by PSG French league.

      • If game play wise League 1 is best, then why our couch is peaking Armani or Andara instead of Benitez? If we consider last seasons performance Benitez is way ahead of them.

        • Politics…Probably for domestic public support and Menotti. If raw talent and league experience were the priority, Benitez would be called up no question.

With this said, Benitez is injured so he wouldn’t be called up anyway.

          • “Politics…Probably for domestic public support and Menotti”

Really? So why he is calling Alario or Acuna for example, we have better options in local league. Simply you see one side of coin only. For you fair selection would be only with European players.

We have better options than Armani but coaches have their likes

        • Brother……Quality of league is not the only thing that a coach considers while selecting players…. It also depends on the quality of the player and his style….

    • much harder for him in PD against better defenders its clear (first he has to learn not missing easy passes regularly), Zorya and former team below argentine PD standards, spanish PD way over

      • Lol. As if these La liga players are pieces dropped from the sky..Aren’t these spanish sides made of defenders from local leagues of other countries? Even Lucas Olaza, whom Boca fans still have no clue of the whereabouts or even his arrival from Talleres is a starter at Celta De Vigo. And accompanying him in the backline is Nestor Araujo in Mexico, who had witnessed a flurry of Argentine goals there over the years.

Like this, how many examples would you want us to quote, idiot?

        • Sabarish,

if one day Vargas will start to score also in La Liga then he will talk about other standards for him: play good season in Champions League or so

          • True. He’d say being a winger should score 15 goals and 10 assists to be called a good player. If he achieves that feat in Liga, then CL becomes the norm for him.

  2. He belongs to this new generation of midfielders who can run and defend, creative, agile technically and hard working type, like Palacios, Zaracho and Lo Celso. This will help us to play the real Argentina football that we haven’t seen for so long, like Bielsa’s winning team in 2004.

    • ” who can run and defend, creative, agile technically and hard working type” wow so we are world-beaters…and Real Madrid, Barcelona, Mancity, Liverpool all want them, too harsh words bro

    • ” like Bielsa’s winning team in 2004.” Mascherano pure DM NO, destroyer, Lucho the only box to box YES, Dalessandro pure playmaker NO, have to find good midfielders rather than versatile ones (only for lart port lart)

      • Lo Celso, Paredes, MacAllister, Dominguez, Ascacibar, De Paul, Palacios, Lanzini, Reynoso, Zaracho, Lamela, Battaglia – yes, these are good midfielders. To that, most of them versatile.

        • “This will help us to play the real Argentina football that we haven’t seen for so long, like Bielsa’s winning team in 2004.” and ” who can run and defend, creative, agile technically and hard working type” Bielsa team played good football without versatile midfielders, so his conclusion is wrong…”
