Ángel Correa successfully underwent surgery this Monday in Navarre as he had to correct a scar left over from another operation he had in 2014 related to cardiac microsurgery.
Correa had to leave the Argentine national team’s concentration before the match vs. Estonia due to this issue. Fortunately, everything went well for him, and he will be joining Atlético Madrid’s training sessions within the following days.
Bringing calm to his followers, Correa expressed the following on his Twitter and Instagram accounts:
“I am very happy to tell you that everything went well. Thank you all for the messages of support, they helped me to stay positive. Now it is time to rest and recover to come back stronger.”

His poor form in the second half of the season, thanks to Simeone combined with this surgery makes him not attractive in the transfer market.
I really hope he will ask Simeone at least for a loan out. We need him in Argentina squad.
Most probably angel correa will not be selected. I don’t think if dybala is selected angel has any chance. I know they play different position bt u can only select 7 forwards maximum. 5 is already locked

Now competition is between 2 places. I think scaloni may opt for j. Correa for lautaro replacement so now if dybala gets selected then angel Correa will be removed there is a chance buendia gets selected in place of j. Correa if scaloni feels Alvarez can replace lautaro effectively
