Esteban Cambiasso considered for Argentina U23 coaching position

Esteban Cambiasso is being considered for the Argentina U23 coaching position.

Cambiasso could be the new coach of the Argentina U23 national team. According to Marcelo Benedetto through DSportsRadio, Cambiasso has a good relationship with the senior national team staff and is one of the options for the job.

The 42 year old was in Qatar with former Argentina players supporting the team. He was part of the 2006 Argentina World Cup with Lionel Scaloni, Pablo Aimar and Roberto Ayala, all part of the current Argentina national team coaching staff.

  1. My team for March friendly. Same 26 WC winners.
    ( Papu injured ) + Nico Gonzalez+ buendia + garnacho + Robertone + paz

  2. That guy came to Real when The prince(Redondo) left, at the beginning, he was very good, and very promising but at times went bad he started to fade away. He could have had a better career and been more useful to the NT. A midfield with Masche, Cambiasso, and Riquelme in 2006 would win the WC but the brilliance of Perkerman opted for a more mediocre approach… I think he should have his chance because no one expects Scaloni at this level… YOU NEVER KNOW….

    • I don’t know what you mean that a midfield of Riquelme , Mascherano and Cambiasso would have won the WC in 06? How that would have happened? I don’t know because Roman and Cambiasso were intelligent slow players. Both France and Italy would have overran them with the midfielders they had at the time. Unless, you forgot that there was Lucho Gonzalez who was a workhorse and goal scorer already. Pekerman was fault was not being brave enough to Aimar and Messi for Riquelme and Tevez. That would have kept the Germans busy in their own half. Instead, he sent in DM Cambiasso to defend a 1-0 lead.

  3. Lewandowski voted for Messi, well he had to even though he is butt hurt. He plays for Barcelona and can’t piss the fans off!!

  4. He has any coaching experience? Or the good relation is the only criterion..
If they dont want to get a proper coach, atleast make one from scaloni’s team and put your favourites lkke mache, cambi or whoeever with scaloni, so that atleast they learn and dont destroy their own name….
