Four stadiums are expected to be announced for the FIFA 2023 U20 World Cup in Argentina.

It was made official earlier this week that the U20 World Cup will be held in Argentina and we are starting to get the names of the possible stadiums. According to DobleAmarilla, four stadiums have been selected.

The opening match of the U20 World Cup will be on May 20 at the Madre de Ciudades in Santiago del Estero. This is the same stadium which was used for Argentina’s 7-0 win vs. Curaçao last month. Here are the four stadiums selected for the World Cup:

Madre de Ciudades, Santiago del Estero
Único Diego Maradona, La Plata
Malvinas Argentinas, Mendoza
Bicentenario, San Juan

The final will be held at the Único Diego Maradona in La Plata.

  1. Guys as for the U20 CB. There are 3 special names that I have been keeping an eye on:
    1. Tomas Aviles (Racing): was playing for Chile but not choosing Argentina. He can play DM too. Starter for Racing but mostly as DM. Originally a CB. A favorite of Gago

    2. Renzo Malanca (Huachipato/Chile). His team is first in Chilean first league and has the best defense. Renzo is a key player. He stands 6’2 and quite muscular and big. Watch his clip here.

    3. Tomas Palacios: Van Dijk size at 6’5 but has yet to get any opportunity in senior team.

Also Felipe Sanchez is a regular CB for Gimnasia La Plata, although he’s been average there. All of these 4 should be better than Di Lollo or Aguilar.

But I have a feeling Aguilar will be chosen in final 21 as he can play RB too.

As for GK, 2 new names. Let’s see if they can provide any competition for Gerth or Herrera. GK is our weakest link.
