Julián Álvarez scored a wonder strike of a goal for Manchester City in their 2-1 win vs. Fulham.
Álvarez got his third goal league goal in five matches as he helped give Manchester City the 2-1 win and lead the Premier League. With the score at 0-0, he was fouled inside the penalty area and City were awarded a penalty kick which was scored by Haaland.
Fulham would draw level and the Argentine received the ball well outside of the penalty area as he would beat his marker and his effort would beat the goalkeeper to give City the 2-1 lead.
The 23 year old was one of the best players on the pitch. According to City Xtra, here were his statistics for the match:
1 Goal
1 Penalty Won
41 Touches
18 Accurate Passes
85.7% Pass Accuracy
4 Ground Duels Won
2 Tackles
2 Shots On Target
2 Aerial Duels Won
2 Accurate Long Balls
1 Key Pass
1 Successful Dribble
Alvarez is a replacement for Kevin De Brunye, not Haaland. Pep rotates and develops Alvarez, unfortunately, he did not get much playing time but a right club for Alvarez.
