The Argentina U20 team will play Uzbekistan in their first match at the U20 World Cup and coach Javier Mascherano reportedly has an eleven in mind.
Argentina will be hosting the U20 World Cup which begins on Saturday and they will play Uzbekistan in their first match in a sold out stadium. Coach Mascherano has his 21 players and the preparations are already under way.
The team trained at the Central Córdoba camp with the media having access to the training. Javier Mascherano appears to have his eleven with a doubt between Federico Redondo or Ignacio Miramón. Here is the rumored eleven:
Federico Gomes Gerth; Agustín Giay, Lautaro Di Lollo, Valentín Gómez y Valentín Barco; Federico Redondo or Ignacio Miramón, Máximo Perrone y Valentín Carboni; Matías Soulé, Alejo Véliz y Brian Aguirre
It is Valentín Carboni who will wear the number 10 shirt for Argentina. The match is at 6:00 pm local time.
It’s a shame Argentina’s top 3 players will not be playing. Garnacho of Manchester United, Nico Paz of Real Madrid and F. Buonanotte of Brighten …3 clear cut starters …
Yes you are right, its a shame. The coaches of their european clubs snatched their opportunity to shine with their National Team at the youth level. Saviola, Kun, ADM, Maxi, Messi and Diego all had their moments in the youth level. If Garnacho, Paz and Bounanotte played we would have been a strong contender for our 7th title. But still all the best to the team. Lets see if this team can surprise us.
